Pat has been a lifelong member in the field of healthcare beginning as a nurse, moving into the Pharma industry and finally, as a training and development professional. Trained as a registered nurse, Pat was one of the first female pharmaceutical sales representatives in Canada; a true pioneer, she helped pave the way for other women looking to break into the health care field in non-traditional roles.
Always passionate about learning, it was not long before Pat was promoted to Learning and Performance Specialist at Astra Pharmaceuticals. Pat excelled in this new discipline where she was recognized as an innovator in the creation and implementation of adult learning programs. As the training specialist responsible for one of the largest selling brands in Canada, Pat played a pivotal role in training and development of over 500 representatives.
After retiring from AstraZeneca in 2003, Pat consulted with an innovative training company looking to break into the Pharmaceutical industry. Pat’s efforts led to the contribution of 50 percent of the company’s revenues in her first year as consultant.
A true leader in health care training and development, Pat continues her lifelong quest for gaining and sharing new knowledge. This makes her a good fit with EAG as our EnviroRx newsletter editor.
