To all our EAG customers we wish you a happy and prosperous 2016! As we look to the future it is undeniable how climate change is receiving global attention to a greater degree than ever before. The World Health Organisation recently launched its first ever Call to Action on climate change. Although climate change represents the defining challenge of our generation, it also creates enormous opportunities. Successful application of innovation and technology has great promise for creating the necessary solutions. All of the major pharmaceutical companies have comprehensive environmental management systems and ambitious goals for improving operations while reducing GHG emissions. Major manufacturers are making great strides in manufacturing with the application of “green chemistry” as well as more traditional methods of reducing emissions and waste. The future of climate change mitigation is looking optimistic as all segments of healthcare establish goals and achieve their related milestones.
