About EAG

Our Mission
EAG exists at the intersection of healthcare and environmental responsibility. We believe that pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations should be able to focus on what they do best, the science, the care, the patients, without getting lost in the complexity of environmental regulation.
Our job is to make that possible. We translate complicated and fast-changing compliance requirements into clear, manageable steps, and we help our clients build sustainability into their operations in a way that is practical, not burdensome.

About Our Founder
President & CEO, Lisa James didn’t set out to build one of Canada’s most respected environmental consulting practices. She set out to solve a problem.
After training as a pharmacy technician, Lisa moved into hospital pharmacy and then spent a decade at a major pharmaceutical firm. It was there that she developed a deep understanding of environmental regulation from the inside. She learned what the rules were, how they landed on real organizations, and what it actually took to comply with them. She saw the complexity, the gaps, and the need for dedicated expertise that truly understood the sector.
In 1990, she founded the Environmental Advisory Group to fill that gap.
More than three decades later, the problems Lisa identified back then have only grown more complex. The regulatory landscape has expanded dramatically, sustainability expectations have risen, and the pace of change shows no sign of slowing. Through all of it, Lisa has remained at the forefront, helping healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations across Canada understand what is required of them and build the practices to meet it.
Her impact extends beyond her clients. Lisa is at the forefront of national and provincial movements for the safe disposal of medicines, and is the founder and lifetime honorary member of the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians. She has spent her career making environmental compliance more accessible.
