As we know, many pharmaceutical companies are promising to make sustainable changes to their businesses. However, accountability is key. Merck, an American pharmaceutical company has recently set goals to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025, and a 30% reduction in their value chain emissions by 2030. Merck also accelerated its goals by 15 years from its previous 2040 goal to source 100% renewable energy for its purchased electricity. This is the type of positive progress we love to see here at EAG!
